Curtis always put out great hits. People enjoyed dancing to his hits. The era of hustling and how much money a person could make and whatever it took to make it. These years came later in the 70's. Yes it was about people doing their own thing, and pushing ahead for a better living. May this Torch continue to be lite. I have liked the music of Curtis Mayfield since the year 1971, when I first heard an album of his and one of the songs I heard was If Theres a Hell Below (the rest is known) and another was Move On UP. Not too long after after I bought the album with the songs included, and on the album cover Curtis was wearing a yellow suit. What a great musician and singer. My He Rest In Peace.
